Catterick Garrison

Company Director, Matt Stevens, has over 18 years’ experience of working in conjunction with GVA, and formerly Entec, with the MoD through the Defence Infrastructure Organisation and other partners on a wide range of projects to promote the Long Term Development Plan strategy for the Garrison. Milestone continue to provide integral advice as part of an extensive project team to deliver a wide range of projects. This work has involved a variety of commissions to secure the on-going viability and operational requirements of the existing MoD estate as well as securing consent for a range of alternative land uses on disposal sites. This will benefit the wider community within the Garrison and beyond.

The range of projects includes:

  • Catterick Garrison Town Centre Project (Princes Gate)
  • Catterick Campus 1 - coalescence of living and technical accommodation inc. 1,400 new bed spaces and mess facilities at Alma, Bourlon and Cambrai barracks
  • SLA (single living accommodation) projects at Gaza, Marne, Vimy and Helles Barracks
  • Arras Lines / Land North of Gough Road - disposal of redundant MoD land for private residential development - over 400 units
  • Sports & Leisure Development, Gough Road
  • Warcop Camp / Bellerby Lines - highway infrastructure to support enhancement of training facilities
  • Land at Coronation Park - disposal site for retail development

Input to each of these projects has included feasibility / masterplanning studies, full assessment (TA's, TP's ES Chapters) to support planning applications, S106 negotiations and S278 Highway Works. As part of this, MTP have developed excellent working relationships with key partners such as the Camp Commander, Richmondshire District Council, North Yorkshire County Council and the Highways Agency on the development of the Long Term Development Plan as well as matters such as the A1 Dishforth to Barton motorway upgrade.
