MTP worked with Diageo at their 7HQ offices in Brent to develop a comprehensive package of sustainable travel measures to encourage staff to travel by alternative methods other than a private car. After rationalising their land holdings, the space available for staff parking reduced and as such, there was a priority to encourage staff to travel sustainably.
MTP designed a comprehensive travel information pack circulated to all staff at 7HQ which detailed the range of measures and incentives Diageo offer. Concurrently, MTP supported the implementation of an online bookable system for car parking via Diageo’s established intranet and using Diageo’s internal social media platform to efficiently circulate information on travel-related issues.
In order to exploit the usable parking facilities at 7HQ, MTP surveyed the existing facilities and designed an improved the parking layout which maximised the availability for staff parking, improved circulation and enhanced existing cycle parking facilities.
MTP also successfully completed Diageo’s monitoring report required as part of the Travel Planning process for WestTrans. This involved instructing new staff travel surveys, collating and analysing the results, evaluating previous targets and devising an updated action plan. MTP also designed the new logo for the new travel information roll out.
