MTP acted on behalf of the landowners to secure planning permission in July 2018 for a mixed-use residential-led development (up to 600 dwellings) on land to the south of Kettering Road, east of Market Harborough.
Having been engaged in the promotion of the site since 2015, MTP have inputted to an evolving site masterplan, prepared the necessary documentation to accompany the planning application and are shortly to be engaged in providing design support services through the implementation stage now that outline planning permission has been secured.
Throughout the project, MTP have established and maintained a strong working relationship with officers at Leicestershire County Council to ensure that the package of highways and transport improvement measures to mitigate the impact of the development are fair, reasonable and proportionate.
Such works included the establishment of site access principles onto Kettering Road, a series of scaled off-site highway improvements on the Kettering Road and A6 corridors and secured improvements to pedestrian / cycle routes and bus penetration, the latter providing a minimum 30-min. frequency service to / from Market Harborough town centre.
